Time: 09:00:00 to 20:00:00 Location: Scotland Wide TARTAN 5’s – ARE YOU THE BEST TEAM IN SCOTLAND? In the run up to the world cup SPAR and CHILDREN 1ST are challenging Scotland to raise their football game by organising a Scotland wide 5-a-side football tournament. The tournament will run throughout April, May and June, the final being played in Lesser Hampden on 5th June 2010. This tournament heats will be played in Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Falkirk, Glasgow, Perth and Dunfermline. Football clubs and players throughout Scotland are supporting the event with participants getting the opportunity to play on some of Scotland’s top football grounds. The charity works to support families under stress, protect children from harm and neglect, help them to recover from abuse and promote children’s rights and interests. Time: 18:30:00 to 20:30:00 Location: Alyth primary School Alyth As part of Health Week at Alyth Primary School the Parent Council is helping to organise a “Health and Wellbeing Evening” on Tuesday 30th March from 6.30-8.30pm in the school. Our aim is to provide a one-stop-shop for kids, parents and the whole community in Alyth to: promote healthy lifestyles through sport; provide information about local sports clubs; provide information about healthy living; provide information about healthy eating; inform on priority health issues. We aim to do this in a fun and interesting way with things to do, games, talks and demonstrations from health professionals, complementary health practitioners, charities and clubs. There are 170 children in the school with twice as many parents and we hope to attract at least another 100 people from the local community. Everyone is welcome. Additional Information | |
